Open Review Process

The Open Review Process is used to select the participants of each workshop. The goal is to assemble small groups of researchers and self-advocates who want to share their expertise on similar topics during the workshop.

There will be two rounds. In the first round all entries will be rated on a 1-10 points scale by multiple reviewers, based on the ideas regarding the content of two chapters.

In the second round, the steering committee will decide on the participants (and the wait list) based on the diversity criteria, the list of topics and the ratings from round one.

If you applied, you can take part in the review process and help us decide who should be a part of the workshop. To take part please check the checkbox during the application process. You will then be subscribed to our list of reviewers. We will inform you about the details of the review process by this mailing list. Please note, that you have to click the link in the email to confirm your subscription to the list.

The process is based on the model used by the OpenCon-Conferences organized by SPARC and is reusing parts of their software (developed by Jan Gondol). The updated version of the software will also be shared on gitlab.
